My Background

I am the founder of iAM Business Consulting. My purpose is to inspire people to live their highest potential by providing affordable mindfulness, marketing, and social media expertise.

My academic training (marketing PhD and Chartered Accountancy, which is equivalent of CPA), a decade of entrepreneurial experience (managed my own export business in India), research and teaching experience (taught at the University of Utah as assistant marketing professor), and mindfulness practice (have been practicing meditation and breath work for seven years now)  make me very comfortable today in connecting people with what they do best and providing them the tools to market themselves in authentic, mindful, and profitable ways.

What you will learn at the workshop

  • Building your own social media strategy based on your business purpose, social media purpose, your target market, and resources. I explain in detail the seven steps needed in developing your social media plan. How you can use social media to listen, inform, and participate so that you magnify your presence and are recognized as a market leader in your area of service.   • Hands on learning of Twitter and an application to manage Twitter effectively to promote your work.
  • Hands on learning of Facebook and making decisions about what will work best for your business – Facebook pages or groups and how to use that to promote your work.
  • How to link your Twitter to Facebook so you don’t have to duplicate your efforts.

Some things you will walk away with

  • An initial social media plan, which you can develop further at your own time. But you will have a template and understand how to build your own social media strategy that works best for you to meet your goals.
  • Your Twitter account and if you already have one, now you will know how to use it optimally by choosing keywords that are important to your business and connecting with people who can be potential buyers, collaborators, or people that you can learn from.
  • Your Facebook group or page that will describe your mission and a list of activities that you can use Facebook group or page to mobilize more interest in your business.
  • A comfortable relationship with social media because you will see it for what it really is and learn in a non-judgmental environment how to use these tools in ways that feel most natural to you.
  • Ideas to create a buzz around what you do and engage your potential customers in authentic ways.

Workshop Fee
 $45 per person (to be paid in advance) will include workshop fee, worksheets, learning guides, and refreshments. Please bring your own laptops for hands on learning and getting started. We will be connected to wireless internet.
